Elsa Leydier in Group Exhibition IMAGE 3.0 from the Jeu de Paume Museum
Group exhibition IMAGE 3.0
On view from 20 May until 4 September, 2022
Elsa Leydier is among the artists selected for the French national photographic commission IMAGE 3.0 with the support of French Ministry of Culture. Art and new technologies combine in this exhibition of works by 17 artists who in 2020 and 2021 benefited from the IMAGE 3.0 national photographic commission. The exhibition is organized by the Jeu de Paume Museum, Paris, in partnership with the National Center for Plastic Arts (CNAP).
The exhibition is presented at Le Cellier in Reims, from May 20 to September 4, 2022. It presents works produced using the innovative resources and technologies now available to image-makers, such as virtual reality, augmented reality, 2.5D and 3D printing, 3D scanning, digital modelling and mapping. Working with engineers and researchers, the 17 artists have created spatialised, volumised, published, posted or projected works.
IMAGE 3.0 is especially focused on interactivity between the works and visitors to the exhibition who, beyond simply viewing these images, are invited to engage with them.
Jeu de Paume has gained an international reputation as an art centre that exhibits and promotes all forms of mechanical and electronic imagery (photography, cinema, video, installation, online creation, etc.) from the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. It produces and coproduces exhibitions but also organises film programs, symposiums and seminars, as well as educational activities.
