Laurence Aëgerter — Healing Plants for Hurt Landscapes -Digitalis ambigua i.a. – Normandy, France
To bring some positivity in these difficult times of Corona the gallery is temporarily offering very attractive special editions for only € 150,- including VAT and shipping. Now we also offer the work including a frame.
You receive a photograph for a unique price. In this way you support the artist and the gallery, so that we can continue to create our projects, artworks and exhibitions. In the following weeks you will receive a different artwork of one of our artists offered as a special edition each week. Below we present a work of Laurence Aëgerter.
‘I chose this photograph, Digitalis ambigua i.a. – Normandy, France, as a message of support to all of you enduring the current extremely challenging times.
The world suffers, many are mourning and meanwhile we are trying to reconstruct. Like those widows and orphans staring at the half blown away Normandy cathedral.
This photograph is part of my series Healing Plants for Hurt Landscapes, from a collaborative project realised in 2015 with the inhabitants of the Olde Galilea neighbourhood in Leeuwarden.
From our green pharmaceutical garden we applied medicinal plants onto images of destroyed landscapes from around the world, investigating together the power of symbolic gestures.’
