Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen is the first publicly accessible art depot in the world. It is located next to Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Museum Park in Rotterdam and houses the art collection of more than 151,000 objects.

Satijn Panyigay has photographed the museum just after its temporary closure in 2019. This resulted in the series Twilight Zone (Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen). Last year the museum commissioned Panyigay to capture their building once again, during the asbestos remediation process. The series Soft Solace (2021) emerged from this.

In the exhibition room on the 3rd floor of the Depot, both series are currently on view, as part of an exhibition devoted to the renovation of the museum.
