Dazzle Swing by Ola Lanko at the Zaanstraat (Amsterdam)
Photography can create illusions whilst maintaining a sense of reality. The ability of an image to replicate the environment is often forgotten or disregarded. Dazzle Swing is a site-specific installation which consists of multiple images exposing the constructed nature of photographs and investigating the notion of representation in photography. This installation forms an intriguing visual puzzle which challenges our perception by provoking to the senses. Dazzle Swing ultimately questions the relationship between reality and illusion.
