Galerie Caroline O’Breen aims on presenting current leading fine art photography from artists from the Netherlands and abroad.
We focus on engaged and conceptual photography based art and present pioneering and critical works from artists who explore and expand the diversity of the photographic medium. We thereby want to provide a platform for artists who focus on examining the transformations in function and meaning of the photographic image, and also in their elaboration are looking for a broadening of the medium. In this way photography can also function as a starting point or framework for multimedia installations, collages, sculptures and conceptual art.
The gallery started in 2015 en is located in the Hazenstraat, the city heart and gallery area of Amsterdam.
Caroline O’Breen also works as a curator for photography and art exhibitions and as reviewer for the international online platform and magazine LensCulture.
